A graduate of West Chester University, Clay has been skateboarding for about twenty years. In high school, Clay's parents owned a skateboarding shop where he built hundreds of skateboards and he learned how important it is to have a safe reliable setup.

Clay's knowledge of all the components of a skateboard is helpful for students (or parents) when it comes to finding the right board for them to learn on.

Since becoming an instructor, Clay has given hundreds of lessons and can teach any age group on how to become a very strong skateboarder. When it comes to becoming a great skateboarder, half the battle is in your head. Clay believes you have to have the right mentality when trying a difficult trick or a trick you've never landed before. Clay uses this knowledge to push his students mentally and physically to become the best skateboarder they could imagine.

That being said, if the student's goals are just to learn how to push and ride on a skateboard, that’s totally fine. No matter your goals, Clay will help you master the basics of skateboarding and use the skills you build from the foundations of skateboarding to become more confident not just in skateboarding, but it in life as well.
